Upcoming Hyundai Cars in India – Complete List

Upcoming Hyundai Cars in India in 2016, 2017
 Indian market.
Hyundai India, the country’s second largest carmaker, marked its entry into the growing compact SUV segment with the all-new Creta previous year. Now, the company is planning to introduce a couple of new products in the next 2 years to explore newer segments or increase its share in the existing ones. While a few of the upcoming Hyundai cars in India will be mid-life facelifts of the existing models, there will be several all-new cars.
It’s no secret that Hyundai India is working on the Eon facelift that will hit showrooms in the second half of 2016. Ever since its launch in October 2011, the Hyundai Eon has been favored for its modern fluidic design and feature-rich interior. With an aim to make things better with the updated Eon, Hyundai might continue to follow its Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy along with some significant cosmetic and features upgrades.
Though, the engine lineup of the hatchback will remain unchanged. The Hyundai Eon facelift will continue to feature the existing 800cc and a 1.1-litre petrol powertrains. To add more value to its profile, the company might offer an automatic transmission on the hatchback. If launched, the Eon’s automatic version will surely be more expensive than the manual variants.
Expected Launch – Second Half of 2016
Expected Price – Rs. 3 lakh – Rs. 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom)

2. New-Generation Hyundai Verna

New Hyundai Verna 2017 rear-side

The all-new Hyundai Verna 2017 that was unveiled as a concept in Beijing at the Auto China 2016, will be more spacious than the outgoing model. The sedan’s 2017 model will feature a wheelbase of 2,600mm, claims a Chinese publication, AutoHome. With a 30mm longer wheelbase, the new Hyundai Verna will be as spacious as the Honda City.  The Verna concept will become basis for the new-generation model of the Verna that has been on sale in several global markets. This is also certain that the same product will also come to India. As a reminder, the Hyundai Creta was also first launched in China as Hyundai ix25 and then brought to India. We can expect the similar product launch strategy in the case of Verna 2017 as well.
